The Moldovan Luca Poclit made his debut on the prelims of Bellator 285 in Dublin submitting his opponent with a head-and-arm choke in awkward fashion.
The two welterweights kicked off the fight card.
Poclit (8-1-0) fought American Dante Schiro (9-5) who is relatively new to Bellator fighting in the promotion only since last year. Poclit being his third fight, and second loss in the promotion.
The first round started off with them feeling each out on the feet as usual but quickly moving from stand-up to the ground to where the round finished. Each displaying high grappling skills Poclit was the more refined.
Second round quickly hit the canvas and Poclit was looking for a head-and-arm choke. Dante was scrambling to get out but both had their heads stuck in awkward positions. It wasn’t until Poclit got his head free and locked the choke tighter. The ref watching the action closely grabbed Dante’s hand and saw that he was knocked out quickly stopped the action.
