Could Bellator Fighters Compete with UFC Fighters?
In a promotion that started 15 years (2008) after the UFC in 1993, dubbed the “B Leagues” by many fighters within the UFC, has really grown into a promotion of it’s own.
With it’s Showtime deal it landed in 2021 is great for Americans, us Canadians have the luxury of watching events free of charge on Bellator Youtube channel, for now.
Even though they have not reached the masses globally like the UFC has, Bellator President, Scott Coker believes that the talent is there.
Post Bellator vs. Rizin FF in Saitama, Japan, Coker spoke to media and was asked about the 5-0 sweep Bellator fighters made.
He expressed that he was pleased with the crowd and the event, but also the amount of talent within Rizin FF. He said,
He stated how he thought the “fights were competitive” but believes he has the top athletes now in MMA in his promotion stating,
Saying that his fighters could compete with anyone.
