Saemapetch faced off against Rittewada at ONE160 Singapore. The two bantamweights (145 lbs) faced off last year in a bout that was Thai rules in 4oz gloves. Saemapetch landed the heavier shots, dropping Rittewada in the first round with a right hook.
Second round Saemapetch caught him again with the right and had him on skates. Ultimately Rittewada, got the upper hand by landing an elbow before clinching with Saemapetch opening a cut, resulting in a ref to take a look at it and calling in the ringside physician. Resulting in the doctor calling off the fight. Some say prematurely.
In their second scheduled meeting under Thai rules again, there was no reason for the doctors, or the judges to get involed. The MGTP welterweight champ, who came from humble beginnings, Saemapetch, got his revenge in the second round. Landing an overhand left knocking Rittewada out cold on the canvas. Saemapetch celebrated proudly his revenge knockout running around the cage and lifting up his coaches in celebration.
