ormer UFC fighter “Platinum” Mike Perry spoke with a reporter from MMA Junkie today about his upcoming bout in the middleweight division (175lbs) of BKFC this Saturday, August 20th and hinted at a return to the UFC. Perry currently fights in the BKFC promotion and is set to fight Bellators own Michael Venom Page in a one off bareknuckle fight. Perry left the UFC in 2021 on a two fight losing streak but has happily moved on and became a proud father since then.
Perry was asked about a statement his manager Malki Kawa, one of the Founders and current CEO of First Round Management said which was, “Mike Perry could return to the UFC anytime he wanted“. Asking Perry if that is a goal he would like to pursue in the future again. Perry responded, “I mean with FRM they could take me anywhere they want. We could go to the moon and have a fight up there with Tesla and Elon Musk. It’s gonna be the greatest fight— Mike Perry vs The Hulk or one of the Dragon Ball Z characters“.
That statement seemed to be received as a positive one about his relationship with the UFC. Perry did not make any further remarks.
