Former middleweight champ, commentator and Social Media star Michael Bisping is still not impresed with Jake Paul’s choice of opponent.
After the Youtube star Jake Paul signed to the PFL he has taken to his social media to call out Nate Diaz for a fight in the ring, then 6 months from that, in the cage.
He did not hold back his opinion while speaking on his most recent podcast episode, Believe You Me with co-host Anthony Smith.
“Everyone he has fought so far has all been over the hill, Woodley, Anderson Silva, Nate Robinson (NBA Player), Askren”.
He told Smith. Adding that his PPV numbers are not doing so hot.
Paul vs. Silva did between 200 and 300 thousand and Paul vs. Woodley 2 did about 65000.
Bisping, thinks the only way that Paul is going to bring those PPV numbers up is by fighting competitive opponents saying,
“Anderson Silva is a pretty big name, and if you can’t pull and do PPV figures with him then it’s over, unless you start taking on actual legit boxers.”.
Bisping then expresses how he feels about Jake Paul Vs. Nate Diaz.
“Nate Diaz use to fight at 155lbs, Jake Pauls about 200lbs. That’s one box ticked there”.
“Nate Diaz is almost 40. There’s one boxed ticked there”.
“Nate Diaz isn’t really a boxer and doesn’t hit as hard or as fast as Jake Paul, so boxed ticked there”.
All of Jake Pauls opponents have been undersized, fought in lower weight categories, or never fought professionally at all.
He does also have a history of choosing undersized opponents, Conor McGregor, Mike Perry, Tyron Woodley. All considerably undersized and in a different spot and division.
