The Irresistible II fight card was an action packed card of six fights. twelve fighters. Six Canadian and the other Mexican.
The card proved itself as an exciting one even though all the fights ended in a decision.
The main-event was between Kim Clavel, 16-0-0 (WBC champ) and Yesica Nery Plata, 28-2-0 (WBA Champ) in the light flyweight division. A title unification.
Kim Clavel, the then undefeated Quebecoise was dethroned by Yesica Nery Plata in a close fight that started to get away from her in the later rounds.
Clavel started off great with pressure and technique, but Nery had the one thing that all fighters wish they had, the great equalizer, being her power.
You could see that the two champs refused to take a back step, staying in the pocket until the end of each round swinging at eachother with full power.
It was such a competitive fight you could hear the crowd non-stop chanting for Kim until the last second with a few chants for Yesica, and a couple Mexicans in the crowd.
Kim wore her damage more than Yesica who everytime she got hit just laughed or smirked without a mark on her, but Kim had a bloody nose.
The damage on Kim albeit was worn well by her as she fought like she was in the first round, without losing a breath, and her confidence.
The crowd was a little upset with Yesica who twice hit Kim after the bell and not even excusing herself, but Kim, still kept it classy bumping fists with her at the start of the round.
All in the end, it was a great fight, and a historic moment in Canadian history with a headlined card on ESPN+ by two women.
With Yesica nery Plata as the new womens light flyweight WBA and WBC champion, she brings her new found gold back to Mexico.
