Former WBC light flyweight, Montrealer and proud Quebecoise was enjoying her down in Panama after receiving her first loss to the WBA, and now WBC champion Yessica Nery Plata on January 13th, 2023, ultimately losing her belt.
The event took place in Laval, Quebec, Canada on the Irressistible II: Clavel vs. Nery Plata card where the two women went all out in a 10 round war that went to decision, giving Nery Plata the nod.
Since then, after having to do a training camp over the holdays, she has deserved some much awaited relaxation as we see she is having down in Panama.
Clavel posted to her social media photos of her at boxing legend, and four division champion Roberto Duran.
Clavel titled the post “Je suis au Panama, j’ai eu la chance de rencontrer Roberto Durán chez lui. Je suis tellement heureuse, jai versé une larme! Un moment que je n’oublierai jamais!”
Which translates to, " I am in Panama, I had the chance to meet Roberto Duran at his home. I am so happy, I dropped a tear! A moment that I will never forget ever!"
Kim Clavel’s record is 16-1-0. She is currently suspended by the Quebec Boxing Commission until the February 12th, 2023 after her last bout with Nery Plata.
