While visiting the Porto Do Boi reservation, an indigenous reservation of the Pataxó peoples of the state of Bahia, Brazil between Caraiva village and Porto Seguro city, Alex Pereira got in full indigenous dress and posed with the tribe.
The newly crowned middleweight champion is seen parading around with the tribe showing off his new gold.
Pereira who a little later into his 20s realized that he was of indigenous background started getting really into it and exploring his roots, falling in love with the traditions and customs.
Really growing a love for it, he occasionally displays it through archery which is a hunting tradition of the indigenous peoples.
As well, when he won the belt at UFC 281 stopping Israel Adesanya in the 5th round. Marking the third time defeating Adesanya. This being the first in MMA and the other two in Kick-Boxing.
