UFC 284 will be taking place in the RAC Arena (Perth Arena) February 11th, 2023.
There will be two titles on the line, in the main-event, and the co-main.
Alex Volkanovski
, featherweight champ, will be facing off against Islam Makhachev
for Islam’s lightweight (155lbs) title. While it seems like Volkanovski doesn’t have anything to lose perse, he does have Islam coming for that #1 Pound-For-Pound spot that Volk is sitting on. A spot he cherishes, and which was bestowed upon him by the fans and media.
But Volkanovski looking to make history and be amongst the few who have had champ-champ status in the UFC such as Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier and Amanda Nunes to name a few.
The co-main will be between Yair Rodriguez 
, #2 ranked featherweight, and Josh Emmet 
, #5 ranked featherweight. This will be for the interim featherweight (145) belt while Volk is taking care of business at lightweight.
There is also the home town kid, Jack Della Maddalena taking on Randy Brown 
at welterweight. Randy, who thinks he is going to push Jack’s nose to the other side of his face and out match Maddalena’s swift boxing.
The card is stacked full of Australian MMA talent Justin Tafa and Joshua Culibao for starts. As well some newcomers like Blake Bilder (featherweight) and Elves Brener Oliveira
(lightweight)looking to make a name for themselves.

, of City Kickboxing, one of the two New Zealanders on the card prelims making a comeback after a long lay off against Bilder as the second fight on the early prelims
